Pipes and elbows abrasion in pneumatic conveying systems is a considerable problem where products and granules containing elements of high hardness are being employed, elements such as:

Elbows and other parts of piping could require weekly interventions to weld sections or repair those parts perforated by abrasive action. 
This problem cannot be solved even if dense phase pneumatic conveying systems (low speed and high pressure) are used. 
In order to fulfil this requirement, F.lli Sacchi has developed abrasion-resistant and wearing-resistant elbows and piping made of innovative composite materials characterised by high hardness (tables confirm that only diamonds are harder!). 
Exhaustive studying of these materials and the innovative assembling, consisting in an external armour made of technical elastomer, allowed us to get a final product with astonishing performances: 

  • Very high hardness of internal armour 
  • External armour in technical elastomer high performance 
  • Extremely low weight (from 10 Kg for a 90° elbow) 
  • Easy to install, it’s possible to choose assembling with flanges or Morris type 
  • Piping lifetime can increase from ”few weeks” to ”many years”.
