Dilute pneumatic conveying is characterised by high ratio between air volume and product quantity. They can be both "vacuum" and "pressure".
Conveying fluid speed can reach some tens of meters/sec and pipes diameter is very high if compared to dense phase pneumatic conveying. Due to the high speed, pipes wearing is remarkable as well.
Notwithstanding, this type of conveying is recommended when an existing system has to be enlarged or modified.
